Mesečev zaliv

In the immediate vicinity of our house there is a bay in the central part of the Strunjan Nature Reserve, which was ranked 3rd in 2024 - the 50 most beautiful beaches in the world. The bay is located under 80-meter-high cliffs, so the path to it is a little more demanding, but it is worth every step later. Moon Bay stretches along a four-kilometer-long coast between Simonov and Strunjan bays, and its coast is the longest unspoiled coast in the Gulf of Trieste.

Piran

A small seaside town, which was already marked by salt production in the Middle Ages. The town is surrounded by walls, and above it stands a mighty church, offering one of the most beautiful views, reaching all the way to Croatia and Italy. The small, narrow streets and compact houses are certainly an experience that will remain in your memory forever.

If you go to Piran on foot, your path will lead you through the smallest salt pans in the Adriatic - the Strunjan Salt Pans. Salt has been extracted here using the traditional process for 700 years, which is why the salt pans are protected as a natural and cultural monument and are located in the Strunjan Landscape Park.
